SABA-DE hosted a Wine Tasting and Tour at the Chaddsford Winery on Sunday, October 7th, 2007. Barb Lawlor, Chaddsford Winery’s Events Director, invited SABA-DE to arrive early to picnic, relax and listen to music. The gathering included South Asian lawyers as well as close friends, all from the tri-state area.
Prior to the official tasting, guests enjoyed some wine, live music and camaraderie on the Chaddsford outdoor veranda. Once inside the Reserve Tasting Room, they were treated to an extensive tasting of the Winery’s collection paired with various cheeses and fruit. Eric Yakobvitch, the Winery’s sommelier, provided interesting historical notes, described the characteristics of each wine and answered our many questions.
In addition to the tasting, Eric led SABA-DE guests on a walking tour of the Winery’s Barrel Aging Cellar, Storage and Retail facilities. At the end of the day, it was an animated, informative and entertaining afternoon. The Chaddsford Winery is located at 632 Baltimore Pike, Chadds Ford, PA.
